Behold, I do a New Thing...
Greetings to you all.
I hope you have recovered from all the culinary indulgences of the Christmas celebrations, and that you remembered to give the gift of Jesus with your Christmas gifts?
The start of every calendar year is always a trigger point for "life-audit" and review for many people. It births or fosters an impulse to "reset" and start afresh as it were; much like the dawn of every new day, it offers the hope of new opportunities and possibilities for change in our lives or our endeavours.
I am very excited about the changes that God has already begun to talk to me concerning this season; about my life, family and ministry, the things that He has shown me concerning what He is able to, and has purposed to do in GLA, and the things that He will do through this blog in the lives of as many people as will join me here every week.
In response to requests to keep the prayer blog going, starting from the 4th of January, I shall be posting weekly exhortations with prayer guidelines every Monday. This is intended to help you to maintain a consistent study and prayer focus through the year. Hopefully with God working through the ministry of the Holy Spirit, the blog will offer a prophetic insight through the Scriptures, that will strengthen, challenge and encourage you to reach out and upwards for all that God has got planned for you.
Along with this, there will be a call to fasting and prayers for different lengths of days through the year to help us to keep our Spiritual "sharpness". I am trusting God to be able to write a prayer blog (like we had for the recently concluded end of year fasting and prayers) for every day of those fasting periods. If you were blessed by my daily blog postings over the last 21-day fasting and prayers, I encourage you to please endeavour to join us as we embark on this spiritual journey together in the new year.
I will like to leave you with this Scripture in 2 Corinthians 13:5, as I sign off for now:
"Put yourselves to the test to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize regarding yourselves that Jesus Christ is in you - unless, indeed, you fail the test!"
I pray that God will establish His good counsel concerning your destiny and make this year a season of great joy and fulfilment of His promises for you and yours in Jesus's Name.
See you in the New Year.
